Get started with DB Schenker

Activate DB Schenker

(Only Moderators can perform these steps)

  1. Click on My account up in the top right corner.
  2. Go to Subscription.
  3. Expand the tab Active carriers.
  4. Choose DB Schenker in the drop down.
  5. Click on Activate carrier.

 

Contact the carrier

  1. Contact your contact person at DB Schenker and ask for the following information for integration with Schipt Online:
    • Account
    • Password
    • FTP-port
    • Server
    • Protocol (FTP or SFTP)
    • Sender UNB
    • Sender UNB Qualifyer
    • Reciever UNB
    • Reciever UNB Qualifyer

 

Create a carrier template 

(Only Moderators and Super Users can perform these steps)

  1. Click on Settings in the main menu.
  2. Go to Carrier templates.
  3. Click on Create a new carrier template.
  4. Choose DB Schenker in the dropdown and add a descriptive name.
  5. Add the communication information you recieved from your contact person.
  6. Choose which document that should be available for printing and how many copies you want.
  7. If you use an integration to Schipt Online you can choose if the documents should be automatically printed.
  8. If you have your own consignment- or collinumerseries you can add these.
  9. Click on Save changes at the bottom of the page.

 

Create a delivery type

(Only Moderators and Super Users can perform these steps)

  1. Click on Settings in the main menu.
  2. Go to Delivery types.
  3. Click on Create new delivery type.
  4. Choose carrier template för DB Schenker som leveranssättet ska baseras på.
  5. Choose which services that should be used domestic, within Europe and export. If you are not sending goods outside Sweden, you can skip the latter two.
  6. Add any additional services by clicking on the pencil under the respective service.
  7. Give the delivery type a clear and descriptive name (i.e. Schenker Parcel Express).
  8. Enter a unique ID. If you have an integration, it is the ID in the integration that determines which delivery type is used for the shipment.
  9. Click on Save changes at the bottom of the page.
